Looking for Adventure?
The short funny horror film “The Invasion from Planet Schrump” is the focus of the workshop and the starting point of a conversation about why horror films are so appealing to children. Is it nice to be a little bit scared from time to time? Why? And what does fear really do to us?

Dubbing
In Germany, most films are dubbed. But how exactly does it work? By lending their voice and their mother tongue to children‘s film characters, the children will note the ways this changes the characters and the film. This workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on the dubbing of films, to appreciate the effort behind it and to discuss the advantages and disadvantages.

The short film “The Road Home” is set in India and provides an insight into this very different culture. However, the addressed problem is universal. At some point each of us faces the question: Who am I? Where do I belong?
